Beautiful Rare 1968 Corvette Convertible in a Crazy Candy Apple Red over Gold Paint Job. This Car is lubed up and checked - all ready to go for the season! All set up to use, drive, and enjoy your investment. There are so many options and possibilities for this car that you can really make it your own. This was a original 427 car with A/C - The A/C is put back into the car with all new parts including the compressor, condenser, and all new lines - everything is new except the blower motor. The Vehicle now has a very strong 327 with over 450 horse power and a Hurst 4 speed Manual Transmission - with a 2 year old, less then 7000 mile Hayes clutch. Engine: 327 block #3970010 GM35 with Edelbrock aluminum heads Edelbrock high rise aluminum intake manifold. March polished aluminum pulleys with the serpentine belt. Brand New Polished Holley 750 double pumper. MSD 6 AL ignition box and MSD Distributor. MSD Blaster 2 Coil. A Vacuum pump on the back side of the belt (so not to rob power and give constant vacuum). Aluminum Griffin Radiator with polished aluminum over flow tank. New plastic fan shroud with clutch fan - stays between 170 and 190 degrees always even on the hottest days with the lights down. K&N air filter to allow more air and therefore greater horsepower. New Spark plugs for the upcoming season. A Huge 12 quart oil pan. Chrome Headers with side pipes - only a few years old with copper gaskets. Huge Taylor wires. Big Powermaster alternator with high voltage output - also polished. Power 4 wheel disc Breaks fronts with dual piston calipers. New Richmond 370 gears in the back with new 3-inch half shafts and high performance U joints. New non-breakable cast rear cap. Upgraded Single Mono Leaf spring across rear. Single traction bar down center of car to help handling and prevent the wheels from breaking free when launching off the line. Bilstien shocks all around with new front springs. Optimum yellow top battery. Battery cut off switch for battery life and theft prevention. Power windows. New gas tank and gas cap and fuel line from front to rear. Holley fuel pump only 2 years old and new K&N fuel filters 2 of them in the rear. Has aftermarket tachometer oil pressure gauge and water temperature gauges. Everything in car is put there to aid in the enjoyment of driving this beauty. This car is a great driving piece of automotive, nostalgic, GM History. It is the first of this body style in 1968 and has some very distinct differences like pushing in the key hole and down on the handle to open the door among other things. The milage listed is not milage on motor and car it is just what I remember it as. Can give an exact milage read out if needed. All work listed has been done in the past 5 years and has less then 10,000 miles on it. 68,725 miles. Color codes from the trim plate. April 13, 2010. |
